THIRD CONVOCATION CEREMONY PROGRAMME OF ACTIVITIES AND INFORMATION FOR GRADUANDS
This is to inform the general public and 2010/2011 Graduands of the University, in particular, that the events of the third Convocation Ceremonies of the University, for the award of honorary degrees, first degrees and presentation of prizes will take place from Wednesday, 14th to Friday, 16th March, 2012.
INFORMATION FOR GRADUANDS
1. All 2010/2011 final year students are advised to check their names on the list of graduands displayed on the University website 2. All graduands are expected to report to campus on (Date to be announced later). 3. Each graduand shall be allowed a maximum of four (4) guests in the Auditorium for the graduation ceremony. There is no limit to the number of persons who can accompany graduands to the Campus. Invitation cards can be collected at the Academic Office or down loaded from the University website 4. Babies and children below the age of ten years are not allowed in the Auditorium. 5. Graduands not attending the Convocation are expected to give the Registrar prior notice. 6. It is mandatory for all graduands to pay for the following items, irrespective of whether or not, they attend the Convocation. (a) Purchase of Academic Outfit (optional) = N15,000.00 (b) Hire of Academic Outfit (For Graduands not purchasing one) = N10,000.00 (N5,000.00 is refundable on return) (c) Alumni Registration / Class Year Book = N7,500.00 (d) Order of Proceedings = N1,000.00 (e) Certificate and Scrolls = N10,000.00 (f) Canopy for entertainment of Guests = N5,000.00 (All entertainment of guests by graduands must be done within the space allocated) (g) Accommodation = N5,000.00 Payment can be made in cash at the Bursary or to WEMA Bank Plc., Account No. 1651173504618. 7. Order of Proceedings and Scrolls will be available on (Date to be announced later) 8. All graduands are expected to attend a rehearsal of the Academic procession scheduled to take place on (Date to be announced later) 9. All graduands are expected to dress formally, decently and corporately (i.e. suit for men, skirt suit or gown for women). 10. Academic gowns must be returned on (Date to be announced later).
