UNIVERSITY GRANTS, AWARDS AND SCHOLARSHIPS Joseph Ayo Babalola University, a private institution driven by the motto: For Knowledge and Godly Service, is determined to produce academically sound graduates with impeccable moral character, who will contribute their knowledge towards national development. The proprietors intend to make quality university education available and affordable to all, hence fees are relatively low. To achieve this goal, the University has established various categories of grants, awards, and scholarships to motivate our students attain high standard of academic and moral excellence. The objectives of the grants, awards and scholarships are: i. To encourage keen academic competition and reward academic excellence. ii. To encourage and reward excellent behaviour. iii. To make university education affordable. The under listed are the various categories of grants, awards, scholarships available. Academic awards for all students who have minimum CGPA of 4.5 and thereafter consistently maintain a CGPA not below 3.50. #25,000.00 Character Award #20,000.00 Annual Scholarship for the best students in the Colleges N100,000.00 (Not below a CGPA of 4.75)
The University Authorities have further granted concessionary fees to students of the University as follows: A Biological Children of C.A.C Members Biological children of C.A.C. members admitted to JABU shall enjoy 15% discount on fees. B Department of Religious Studies i. Biological children of C.A.C. members admitted to JABU to study B.A Religious Studies or B.A Ministerial Studies shall enjoy 50% discount on fees. ii. C.A.C Ordained Pastors wishing to study B.A Religious Studies or B.A Ministerial Studies shall receive 60% discount on fees. iii. Other students not in (A) and (B) above shall enjoy 40% discount on fees. C. Students admitted into the under listed programmes will enjoy 20% discount. These programmes are not heavily subscribed to by students but are essential towards national development. i. Physical Sciences ii. Mathematics iii. Statistics iv. Geography and Geo-Sciences v.
