1.         PHILOSOPHY:
The programmes in Biochemistry, Chemistry and Industrial Chemistry are designed to produce graduates with sound basic knowledge of Biochemistry and Chemistry and their applications in all sectors of human endeavour  public, private, Industries etc. The students will be exposed to the Biochemical, Chemical and related manufacturing industries in Nigeria with a view to their acquiring adequate knowledge of the Biochemical and Chemical raw materials, their local sources, processing, production, quality control, economics and marketing of the industrial products.

2.         OBJECTIVES:

The objectives are to:
Produce self-reliant graduates for self-employment
Prepare well trained personnel for the growing Chemical and allied Industries in this developing country.
Prepare graduates for teaching and research work in Industrial applied Chemistry in higher institutions and research institutes.
Acquire necessary ability to tackle some human and environmental problems.
