Professor A.M.A. Imevbore is The Pro-Chancellor and The Chairman of the Governing Council of  Joseph Ayo Babalola University. He is a retired Professor of Zoology at Obafemi Awolowo University since 1994. He is a member of many national and international scientific organizations.

He has worked and published extensively on the environmental problems in the Niger Delta region, especially as a consultant to several oil companies in Nigeria. Professor Imevbore is an ordained minister of Christ Apostolic Church since 1968. He is a multi-gifted scientist, teacher, lecturer, preacher, and mentor. He was a pioneering leader of the Pentecostal Holy Ghost Movement in the institutions of higher learning in the 1960s and 1970s.

He is the leader and retired chairman of Christ Apostolic Church, Bethel Special District.
