A core programme of the University is entrepreneurship which is designed to ensure that all its graduates could be self employed and employers of labour. The University intends to use education to bring about moral regeneration, godliness, selfless leadership, positive attitude to work and manual labour, self reliance and mutual understanding and love among ethnic, tribal and religious groups. Joseph Ayo Babalola University is a fully residential institution.

SOCIAL LIFE
Joseph Ayo Babalola University is a co-educational institution; it believes in co-existence of both sexes and therefore encourages wholesome social activities within and between sexes. Opportunities for healthy inter-sex associations and activities to build a circle of friends exist in the classrooms, library, laboratories, sport fields, cafeteria and places of worship.

Social Activities
In order to enrich the social life on Campus, the University has mandated the Student Affairs Office to organize social activities including film shows, concerts, drama, cultural shows of edifying nature during weekends. The Students' Social/Welfare Secretary is encouraged to organize social activities for the students. Each hall is also expected to provide activities that would bring excitement to students' campus life.

Residency
Joseph Ayo Babalola University is a fully residential University. This is to ensure full participation of all students in all activities organized by the University both academic and co-curricula. It is hoped that by the end of your stay in the University, you would not only have passed through the University; the University would have passed through you.

Apart from giving you sound academic education and professional expertise, it is the determination of the authorities of the University, that you leave the University decent cultured ladies and gentlemen.

Catering Service
 The University operates a pay as you eat cafeteria system. Parents may however choose to adopt a pre-paid ticketing system so as to ensure that students eat normally throughout the semester. 

Sporting Activities
The University is developing facilities for games and recreational activities. The University encourages mass participation in sports as well as competitive sports among the component parts of the University and with other institution.
